Short description:
The team leader provides guidance and instruction to a working group about a portfolio of projects. The team leader is in charge of delegating work, overseeing progress towards the defined goals in the projects. The team leader coaches the team members as needed. As an interface function, they work closely with the related teams and departments worldwide.
Tasks in detail:
Team management on personnel level, technical guidance Provides leadership to the team and represents it Supports management on R&D projects Works closely with related R&D teams worldwide Resource planning with team leaders of cooperating R&D teams and with project managers worldwide Implements and follows R&D procedures and project processes by using agile methods, reporting on the performance and initiating improvements for R&D Supports agile project environment and enables the team to run projects in an efficient and effective way Requirements: Master’s degree in engineering (mechatronics, informatics, industrial engineering, …), PhD or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience as a software developer in the field of object-oriented programming (C++, C#, …) Experience as a project manager in software projects, ideally as well in cross functional hardware- and software projects Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience with working in or leading agile project teams Certification or experience as a scrum master and with agile methods is advantageous Very good team leadership skills with a background of working together with an international team and staff at all levels of the organization Entrepreneurial drive and strong working ethics Fluent in English is mandatory What we offer: Permanent contract Competitive salary and bonus scheme Work on interesting and challenging projects, while building a pioneering software category Job with meaning and a future: Hexagon is a secure and meaningful employer with its social mission.
